Dog Walking — Essential Exercise
Dogs, like humans, need regular exercise to stay healthy. Walking provides them with physical activity that helps maintain their weight, improves cardiovascular health, and keeps their muscles strong. It also provides them with mental stimulation for psychological well being. Dogs are curious creatures and need mental stimulation to prevent boredom and behavioural issues. Going for walks exposes them to new sights, smells, and sounds, which helps keep their minds active and engaged. Walks provide opportunities for dogs to socialise with other dogs, people, and various environments. This helps them learn appropriate social behavior and reduces the likelihood of developing fear or aggression towards unfamiliar situations. Dogs have a natural instinct to explore their surroundings. Going for walks allows them to satisfy this instinct by investigating new territories, marking their scent, and engaging their senses.
Pup Patrol: 30 minute walk £8
Puppies aged 6 months or less need shorter duration walks because their developing bodies and joints are still fragile, and extended physical activity can place excessive strain on their growing bones and muscles, potentially leading to health issues later in life.
Doggy Walk: 1 hour walk £13
Treat your pup to a regular hour of activity or just book in a slot or two as required when life’s distractions affect your regular schedule.
Hound Hike: 2 hour walk £20
Because for some 1 hour is just not long enough, we’ve got four legs you know!
Pack Adventure: 3+ hour walk £30
A real treat to reduce the time spent alone at home, who doesn’t like an adventure? Exploring a river side meandering walk through the Kent countryside, maybe we’ll stop for a doggy picnic before returning home for a good afternoon snooze!
Prices shown are based on Weekday Group walks. Solo walks are also available for those that prefer to walk alone, or you could choose an ‘Assisted Solo Walk’ with BarkLife’s very own assistant dog Rocky who will walk near-by but at a safe distance, off-lead, minding his own business, allowing your dog to become accustomed to having other dogs in their vicinity. Weekend prices are charged at 1.5 times weekday rate. Please see our Price-List for full detail.
All canine clients will be safely and securely collected and returned in the crate separated BarkLif-e-Bus. Use our secure key holding service if you would like us to collect and/or return your pooch to your house when you are not in. Please ask to see our DBS certificate.
